The beatles, perfect songs?

I don't know if you have experienced this, but everytime you listen to a cd, there's about 5 good songs in it if things go well, the rest is boring.

But when you listen to a Beatles cd, I can easily say that 11 of 12 tracks are really good, and the rest is absolutely not bad. I have never experienced this before with any other group. It's like the beatles are having a perfection similar to Mozart or Bethoven but in a different music genre.

Dude there are plenty of bands that have put out records without the "filler" songs you are describing,
Im only 19 so I personally think the Beatles are over rated, great, but over rated

Here are some recent records that I feel are worthy of listen, all the way through,
Sublime, self titled and 40 0z. to freedom,
Tiger Army, Tiger Army 3: Ghost Tigers Rise,
Eisley, Room Noises
NOFX, so long and thanks for all the shoes
Catch 22, Dinosaur Sounds
Bad Religion, the Process of Belief
try those and tell me every song isnt different and special in its own way

You guys are just jaded, the secrets out about the Beatles and the Who, I think yall just being close minded to other generations music,
I gave all your songs and bands a shot at one time or another even though the production is god awful on every record (dont give me any of that analog sounds warmer shiit either) and I could care less about your bullshit hippy revolution that never happend.
So give peace a chance or whatever you whiney baby boomers!

Thats honestly what attracted me to the beatles so many years ago, the fact the i could listen to entire albums without haveing to skip over songs.

I completely agree with you about this one. I mean I am a huge Beatles fan and I can not really say that I have heard a bad Beatles song. When ever I play one of their records, I love all of their songs and it really never gets boring whereas on your typical CD there is maybe 1 or 2 songs i like but the rest is really repetitive, I guess that is it the Beatles take a kind of different spin on each song. Each song doesn't sound like the last, but they still have the " Beatleish" sound.

The White Album. This is their most mature, brilliant work. I love it.

One word:

"Revolver".

I can't think of any other album by anybody where EVERY song is good...especially fourteen of 'em. I've been listening to The Beatles since I was in the womb -over thirty years ago now- and I can NOT figure out why "Pepper" gets all the praise when "Revolver" is the real masterpiece. Let's face it: there would be no "Sgt Pepper" if they hadn't've done "Revolver" first. I daresay popular music owes more to "Revolver" than any other album ever made, on the basis of it's technolgical advancements alone.

Comparing The Beatles to Mozart or Beethoven hits the nail right on the f-cking head, old sport. They are probably the ONLY rock band that two hundred years from now people will talk about and listen to with the same amount of respect and reverence that we give to Wolfie and Ludwig Von nowadays.

For the most part yes.

Yeah I agree. This is why the Beatles remain my favorite band to this day, despite that my musical tastes have led me to some strange music, the Beatles bring me back home every time. I love them and they will never be dethroned in my eyes.

You find great song writing from the past because they had something to say, not merrily to fill and album full of nonsense. I think this is true for a lot of bands from the 60's and 70's. I recommend you listen to some other bands like The Who, "Who's Next. If this is too heavy of a sound, Try some "Eagles" One of These nights. Song writing is an "Art".

ahh revolver..as someone said above...its amazing. every time a new song starts i get excited... i never have to skip through any of them. it's because they're all so different, because these songs are being created by 3 diff song writers (and ringo occasionally) who sometimes almost competed against each other...so you def get an amazing variety. this is why i love the beatles!!

I completely agree. The Beatles are my favorite band. I personally like Rubber Soul and Revolver.

Definitely true. Each album is good enough that most other bands would be proud if their "Greatest Hits" album were that good.

The Beatles are UNDER-rated. The comparison to the classical masters like Mozart and Beethoven is appropriate, IMO - their music is just as timeless.

Amen to that! God bless The Beatles :)
