The New York Dolls from the 1970's
The Jesus and Mary Chain from the 1980'S I recommend the album "A Night at the Opera" by Queen. It has two of their best known songs, Bohemian Rhapsody and You're My Best Friend, not to mention some great lesser known songs, such as Love of My Life, '39 and The Prophet's Song.
The Who are also spectacular--Who's Next is one of my favorite albums by them. It has Baba O'Riley (aka Teenage Wasteland to most), Bargain, Going Mobile, etc and the remastered CD also has Pure and Easy, along with several other tracks!
And, of course, you can't forget the Beatles. You have to listen to Abbey Road (Something, Here Comes the Sun, Come Together), Revolver (Here, There and Everywhere) and Help! (Help!, Ticket to Ride, I've Just Seen a Face, Yesterday). The other albums are great, too!
