Indie rock and Alternative rock?

What is the difference between Indie rock and alternative rock?

indie is more undrerated bands,they can be influence by sonic youth, my bloodly valentine,mission of burma,and other unknown indie bands in the 1980's.they are more softer but a little loud like the band cursive.they are also a indie band from the 90's.they are more left wing then right wing. indie isnt about the money ,but alternative are a little bit like making into mtv crap. but alternative is more mainstream,as for indie bands they are more underated.they shop at vintage clothes.indie is more cooler!!! i am not a indie rocker bit more emo

They are spelled differently

Alternative is indie brought into the public eye, really.

Indie tends to be better and more creative.

Indie's on independent record labels. That's it. That's the definition of indie.
