Im new to guitar, but when i wear the guitar with the strap. the guitar tends to fall downward. is this normal

if it is a sh*tty strap then yes that would be normal, I would suggest investing in a leather strap

The strap should rest on your left shoulder if your a righty and on your right if your a lefty. The guitar should lie in between the bottom of your bust line and your groin... so basically in the middle of your body. The guitar is going to hang no matter what just make sure the guitar is placed correctly like I said.

This is definately normal. But you could help the situation by getting yourself a heavier duty strap, and maybe locking strap nuts.
