How do i boost the gain channel on a peavey valve king 212 i know it comes with its own boost but any other wa

i can boost via the footswitch but i need a different sound to evolve when i do my lead breaks

Try the Visual Audio overdrive/compression pedals (either the Highway 66 or the Jekyll & Hyde).

Might also want to get the Boss noise suppressor to cut down on the fuzz.

You could try asking a salesperson at a guitar/music store. I had a Peavey amp a long time ago, but it came with a manual that had different sound combination settings. Other times I just messed around with it, because I believe I was going for the same thing as you-- and when I found it I wrote down all the knob settings.

My guitar ?s never get answered by these posers, but I would suggest an overdrive pedal like an Ibanez tube screamer with the level set high and the gain set low at 2 or 3, this will give your signal a boost without pushing your gain to ridiculous heights.
Also do yourself a favor and buy a BBE sonic maximizer, that will tighten your whole rig up as well as boost your signal through the mix
A chorus or flanger pedal set modestly will also give your leads more "color" and shine
