Im just bored and looking for some new songs to download. So whats a song that you think is amazing and catchy but probably not many ppl have heard?
Not necessarily an unknown artist but maybe a song off a record that wasnt a single that you really like or maybe an underground band or something ?
I'll give one - "Alex Chilton" by the replacements. That is such a fun, catchy song and I know 80s punk ppl probably know it but probably not younger kids today.
OK give me some suggestions! The English Beat's "Ackee 1-2-3" is great fun and not popular.
Maybe not amazing, but definitely catchy and fun: JoBoxers' "Just Got Lucky," which was from the early 80s but got a little rebirth through being played at the end of "The 40 Year Old Virgin."
Thanks for the trip back. "Drugs" by Ammonia "take me away" by oasis is a great song. so are "someone to talk to" and "does everyone stare" by the police. also, my personal favorites: "it's all too much" and "i want to tell you" by the beatles. placebo - peeping tom
placebo - hang on to your iq
placebo - scared of girls 80s music is the best!!! I'm only 11, raised in what is musical hell; the 2000s.
Gentlemen Take Polaroids by Japan (UK band)
New Religion by Duran Duran (UK band)
Mixed Bizness by Beck
Election Day by Arcadia (UK band)
Australia by The Shins
Everybody Wants To Rule the World by Tears for Fears (UK band) Car Crash--Matt Nathanson, recently just being played on alternative stations. The album is "some mad hope"--released in August 2007.
I have heard that you can download it from i-tunes, but I bought the whole album.
If you want to preview it, try Matt's myspace page
www.myspace.com/mattnathanson I'm not sure what your favourite kind of music is, but I prefer the b-sides over the actual singles a lot of the time, or album tracks that never made it to singles. Songs written by the actual artist are usually quite good too.
If you like boyband music, for instance, try finding "Together Girl Forever" and "Everlasting Love" by IOYou (could be under Westlife in downloads as it was the band from which Westlife later formed).
Or, also by Westlife and much more recent and catchy, is "Hit You With The Real Thing" - it was on their 2005 album Face To Face but never made it to single and more's the pity!
If you're not up for boyband music, Pink is pretty good too, not just the single tracks, but some of the other songs on the Missundastood (or however that's spelled, sorry) album are quite good too. I can't think of any titles right now (my sister has the album, and that's saying something as she and I don't usually share our taste in music) but they are good!
Oh, nearly forgot my faves! Musical soundtracks, most recently the one for Hairspray, but I also love the eighties classics like Fame, Flashdance, Footloose (a lot of F's in the eighties! LOL), Grease and Saturday Night Fever from the 70s.
I hope that helped!
