If you could remove any one genre of rock from the face of the earth which one?

i think all genres have something good going for them.

to obliterate a genre would be to take away some of the diversity that makes music great, that makes what you like special.

At the moment I'd like to get rid of emo because I hate trends.

Perhaps I would like to get rid of "grunge rock", because of the demise of Nirvana. Therefore, I am only speculating that grunge rock causes a few of the rockers to resort to harmful drugs.

I sort of agree with the first two dudes, but if I had to pick one, I'd say nu metal. Nothing good has ever come out of it, except for a few decent songs by Linkin Park.

If I had to pick an entire genre it would probably be nu-metal or something in the vein, if I could pick a person it would be Steve Vai. And in the ideal situation I'd be the one who removed his worthless *** from the face of the planet!

Edit: Ah poo, someone took nu-metal while I was typing, I'll go with rapcore, or metalcore, or if those are all too similar than maybe hair metal, that's equally worthless.

I'll have to agree with some of the others and vote to remove nu-motel from the face of the earth. Life would be so much better if Fred Durst was not allowed to put his influence on anything.

I agree with shannon. It would have to be pop punk. I find it really annoying but thats if I had to get rid of one because I guess its someones fav type of music out there.

EMO but that stupid trend will dissappear on its own soon anyway......so second choice would be the nu metal crap(somebody said linkin park is nu metal??) maybe i'm confused by what nu metal is, but what i'm referring to is the garbage thats on headbangers ball nowadays--very little or no musical talent in ANY of these nu metal bands....metal will always live its just some of the crappy subgenres need to die off so as to not give metal a bad name...
