Help me make a mix tape?

Allright, my boyfriend lives thousands of miles away in England. I want to make him an odd little mix tape from his odd little girlfriend full of little love songs.

I'm very much the hipster music girl and so far the tape has on it, neko case, beirut, american analog set, beulah, tears for fears, peter bjorn and john, sufjan stevens, the decemberists, and other things along those lines. what songs would you recommend?

awesome, somone recommened first day of my life by bright eyes. its already in my set list. how could i NOT include it?? :D

"Above and Beyond" by Buck Owens. I'm a bit of a hipster too but this is probably (in my humble opinion of course) the greatest song ever written.

first day of my life by bright eyes

it'll be nice for your boyfriend.

I recommend you throw away the mix tape and send him a video of you doing a nice little burlesque type dance to a song he might like, but then again, I'm a guy so what do i know heheheh...and by the way, I dont mean get naked on it, in case you think I'm being rude.

If you can find it..."Closer to You" from Younglove....maybe "Clark Gable" from the Postal Service or "For What it's Worth" by The Cardigans. Hope this helps...
