Who did the original and the best covers of "I Like it Like That"...you know the song....?

....it goes, "And the name of the place is I like it like that"

I know the Dave Clark 5 did a pretty vanilla cover of this tune, but I heard a real soulful take on it once, and a hard rocking version before too. Who else sang this song?

Chris Kenner did the original. No.2 in US 1961.

Never heard any cover versions. Can't imagine them being a patch on original
