I think Clapton was very, very good with Derek and The Domino's because thats one of my favorite albums. Duane Allmans slide on Layla is phenomenal and Thorn Tree in The Garden, Bell Bottom Blues and one of my favorite top ten songs Little Wing are very great songs. DONT SAY ERIC CLAPTON SOLO cause that is like a long time!

yeah i know hes been in a lot of bands I have to go with Derek and The Domino's. I think Clapton plays better when he is being pushed by a talent such as Allman. It's hard to believe he could make such a great album being strung out on heroin. It would have been nice to see where Allman's career would have gone had he not died. All; but Cream is the ultimate. Disraeli Gears is probably one of the top 10 albums of all time! Cream! He made so many great songs with Cream and they just had an altogether better image. Sunshine Of Your Love was a wildly popular song... but then again so was Layla. Man, it's hard to choose...
I also really like Blind Faith's "Presence of the Lord". That is one of my favorite songs.
I guess the point is that Clapton is great with every band he's in and the bad thing is... I think he knows it. =) |
