Punk and Rock?

What's the difference between those two genres?

punk is more like anarchist and just like crazy,a lot of punk bands were form england, Sex Pistols, The Clash, theres a bunch but yeah punk is more rebelious

listen to those two bands and tell me the difference.. a lot. ;l Rock's more hard music while punk is crazy+catchy.

Technically, they are exactly the same thing. Punk is a style of rock; usually with more political, shouted/gang vocals, while rock is a lot more melodious (considerably).

Actually Punk is a form of 'Rock'.Rock is the name of the Genre and to the first poster Disturbed is classified as Metal.

Punk is a subgenre of rock. Look at wikipedia to see what characterizes punk.
