Have you ever been disappointed by your fave band? |
I just watched a live evanescence concert on yahoo music, and though i have always loved the band, i'm beginning to rethink how i feel about them. amy lee sounds NOTHING like she does on the albums. she didn't even hit the right pitch half the time. Ugh!! So i just had to ask, have YOU ever been disappointed when you saw a band in person? Yes, I agree I had the same feeling with the same band.... Not by a live performance. But when From First to Last came out with Heroine, I'm not going to lie...I was very disappointed. Its still a great album, just not what I expected/wanted. I also saw evanesence last year in L.A. and felt the venue they played at did not do them justice. Its hard to sing the same way every night when touring and sometimes bands just have an off night. She has a great voice on her studio records, but live she just didn't sound so hot. They are a great band, but to hear them live is not the same Yeah, actually. I went to see Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Chaddy didn't even do his guitar solo in "The Only Medicine". yes, I used to love 30 seconds to mars, their first album was sooo bad ***. Now for their second album, a beautiful lie, they sold out and are just like all the other radio bands :( Yeah it used to be Slipknot till Vol.3,that album sucked and now they're radio rock and all these other idiots only know that album when 4 years ago they woul've talked sh*t about them for being devil worshipers,I hardly even wear their shirts anymore I'm just disgusted at what they've become, that said it's Hatebreed now and Supremacy could have been better in ways but it's still a great album, they'll never let you down I've been disappointed in my own band many a day. I'm a drummer in a band with three other Irishmen, and when our guitarist Paul admitted that he was addicted to Heroine, I really hated everything we stood for. Drugs, alcohol, fast cars, and easy women. That's been fifteen years past, the band's still together, and Paul's got his nose clean. It really changed everyone of us when our wives and children came along. We've been making music and hopefully making a difference in our community and the world ever since we woke up and got our lives straight. yes i wont lie, i love huey lewis and the news, he is the same in person as he is on album, only disappointment is he stopped making new stuff =( Yes ... amy lee of evanesence she sucks! i was a big fan of Armor For Sleep for a long while. and when i heard their new album was coming out, i counted down the days. then they said they were gonna move the date back, and i wasl ike "its ok, it gonna be an awesome album" i donwloaded it the day it came out. andi listened to it. IT WAS TERRIBLE. i expected to be amazing, cause AFS was one of my fav bands w/ deep lyrics and awesome riffs, but this was just a ripoff. i got over it, tho, and accepted that this is how they are now. :[ Heck no My Chemical Romance has never let me down and never will. Many times. I've been disappointed for a different reason. yes. NOPETY NOPE NOPE NOPE MCR always gives it their all (even though ive only actually been to one of their concerts ive seen like twenty on youtube) Guns-n-Roses, when i saw them live it was like they were just going through the motions and the show was average at best in a packed colesium. My faith in live performances was renewed a few weeks later when i got to go see SuicidalTendecies at a place that was barely the size of a school auditorium. They kicked total azz!! |
