Is fall out boy emo?

Noooo. Fall Out Boy is not emo. first of all, emo is a genre of music in which the point of the song is expressing certain emotions. The of emo you are referring to is the stereotypical one. Even in that aspect, Fall Out Boy is not emo. They dont fit the stereotypical style and actions of what emo is.

fall out boy isnt even emo, they just suck plain and simple. They are good in the studio but live, they dont sound the same at all. Patrick Stump cant sing the right pitches live and Pete screws up all the time. But they arnt emo they are pop-rock

Now now, Fall Out Boy isn't a great band like the 14-year old girlies claim they are, but most certainly they're not emo. They're a 3rd-wave pop punk band along with acts like Taking Back Sunday and Panic at the Disco. Emo bands include Sunny Day Real Estate and Rites of Spring...what you're being told right now about FOB being emo is false.

it may have been around for a while now,
but now it is becoming "cool" apparently

they are not emo because they sing songs that
are happy-
not like "Merry Christmas" happy,
but compared to music that is all complete screamo
