When the lead singer of SlipKnot or LInkin Park growl during a song,do their throats hurt when their done? |
When a lead rock artist does a song, does their throat hurt after? Or feel some kind of soreness? I would think right? To some degree? I always wondered. i sing a lot of extreme death metal vocals, brutally low to pig squeals. My son is in a band and he sings like a growling bear, or the devil, personally I think it sounds like crap.....but anyway....after a show/gig his throat/voice is hoarse..he says it don't hurt but I don't believe him. It sounds like it hurts when he talks...I think he is ruining his voice by singing that way...but whatever. When they first started out, yes. However, there is a special type of conditioning that a growler/screamer can do to take care of their throats and make sure they're using the proper techniques to growl/scream. i think so ,,, Rumers said that once Korn leader stop singing for a month and he needed a surgery to recover after he growls in a concert..... Bullet for valentine ****** is testament that small children shouldn't try and do what they can't... Yeah you'd really imagine it would hurt them. I think they'll be okay if they use the proper techniques and stuff though. well, if you do it right, it doesnt hurt. a good growl needs to sound like what it is, a growl. I think that Cory from Slipknot does it right, but I think that Linkin Park just screams from time to time which is completely different and I dont really know much about it. It also depends on how long the concert is too. If its really long, it can hurt, if not, then it probably wont hurt. You can get a sore throat and throat irritation |
