thanx everyone for sharing.Im happy hearing your views.

yest night when MCR sang "cancer"...i feel so sad...as the part, "the hardest part of this is leaving you." Its really my hardest part to leave the concert.

i miss them alot now...i wish i can see them in concert again.. :(

definitely, you feel more connected to them.

i dunno, it just rekindles your love for the band, and kind of reinforces everything you loved about them.

for me, anyway.

Yes omg for real i do all the time it helps you appreciate there music a little more i believe

It's been my decades long experience in going to concerts (and playing a few myself) that the sure sign that a band is really good, is...

You like them even better "live" than you do studio...

In other words...the studio recordings are very "well-mixed" almost to perfection...but seeing the actual musicians pour their heart and soul into the whole thing really enhances a song...

So, yes...I agree...

Some bands are better live, they improvise, stretch the music a bit. Others play exactly like their record down to the playlist.
I've had fun at both, but the first kind you can see again and again, catching a six night series begins to seem normal, the second, eh.

Once you get the live music jones, you'll find your tastes shifting away from the over produced studio bands.

Metallica, definitely. I saw them a long time ago when they toured with Corrosion Of Comformity. That was an awesome show. During the show, the set started falling down, a guy fell out of the ceiling, another guy caught on fire and it all fell down. They went understage for a little while, then they came back up. They played the rest of the show with like, some light bulbs hanging down on cords and stage amps. It really gave the impression of like, a garage band (on a huge stage in a huge arena, lol). It was a great show. Best concert I've ever been to. It was all staged of course, but still awesome.

Yes live is the BEST! small or large venues it don't matter to me.

Yes I do because you finally know how much of their music is actually them singing it because they can't alter their voices with the machine thingys after they record it

AAAgh I'm so torn with this question! It can go both ways I think.

I completely agree with you about the heart and soul bit! I saw Oasis once and I was really blown away by some moments where, yes, like you said, it really gets to you and reminds you that these people are singing words from their life.

Also when I saw the Rolling Stones my love for them grew purely because they were all I wanted and more. They didn't even need to sing a slow song. Same with Billy Joel and Elton John.

HOWEVER haha I think some people might agree with me here

Bob Dylan. Seeing him in concert made me realise that as much as I love the man to death I do not have to like his new music to still be his fan. I pretty much had to admit to myself that I was hating every song he was singing. It made me rememember how much I loved just sitting and listening to his early records, not his new stuff.

I sort of take comfort in that each way it's a learning experience and that (especially with Bob) just seeing them is still an honour.

totally! before dis i've liked MCR and everything but since i saw them on 9 dec i'm in awe!! been blasting their songs on repeat ever since :)

Yeah i always feel that way =] Your so lucky to see MCR xD

Seeing my fav. band live always give me great satisfaction....i went to taste of chaos last year, to see 30STM, i bought the tickets like 3 months before the concert and i counted down cause it was the first time i was gonna see them, then when the day finally came i was so f-ing excited, then it was all over, now i have an aching feeling every time i listen to 30stm because i want to see them again so bad that it hurts. same thing with my chemical romance, i have seen them twice and each time its gets better and i have a feeling its just gonna keep getting better....and i all i have to do is wait.....some people say its hard to fall in love again and again, well when its comes to 30STM and MCR its not hard at all!!!!

yeah! like i absolutly loved mcr before i saw them live but after i saw them i'm more obsessed than i was before! i love them! and the same with linkin park! they were fantastic! they are definatly higher on my list than they were before!
needless to say Projekt Revolution was the greatest concert ever!
