Recording musicians! What's your favourite software for recording/mixing? Why? Also, what software sucks?

Recording musicians! What's your favourite software for recording/mixing? Why? Also, what software sucks?

I haven't really had any bad experiences with music recording software, although I'm only familiar with 2. I've used Cool Edit by Adobe (now re-named Adobe Audition) with great results. I've also used Sony's Acid Pro. Check out the links below for some more information on the two. Between these two I prefer Cool Edit. It's easy and intuitive to use, but also powerful enough to make your stuff sound really good. Hope this helps!

Ableton-because my bass player said so...it's his fave.

EDIT: I'm the only answerer...asker, did you give me thumbs down? Whoever did, here's a "middle finger up".
