Any bassists out there tonight?

I know we have to have some in here. So, who out there plays bass, what kind of instrument to you have, how long have you been playing, etc...

Myself, I've been playing for a year and change, and it's a blast. On a side note, I currently use a Squier Jazz, but I've been getting a lot of buzz on the strings, and I really just want a new one anyway since I'm not a big Fender fan. Anyone have a recommendation on a bass?

I've been playing bass for around 2-3 years. I've had a couple basses but the one I liked the most is my Ibanez. It's an SR400.

I love the Ibanez because it's lightweight and has an extremely fast neck. The electronic pickups on mine sound amazing, but changing the battery gets pretty annoying, so I would recommend getting non-electronic.

With that said I don't think I'll be playing anything but an Ibanez anytime soon.

I play on a Washburn and I've been playing for two and a half years.
I play a lot of classic rock, Money by Pink Floyd being the funnest song to play.
I haven't had any problems with my bass but I DID pay a pretty penny for it. Go expensive, you won't regret it.

I have a fairly cheap Fender P bass. Used to play guitar, then a friend taught me to play bass about 7 years ago. If I had the money, I would probably buy a Rickenbacker.

well, i want to learn to play bass but i'm totally broke and my parents wouldn't ever by me one.

i've played guitar for a long time and took up bass about 6 weeks ago. i got the cheapest 5 sring i could find. a cort action 5 with active pickups, surprisingly the neck is fantastic. no warick, but for the price, **** me !!!!!.
sounds really good too. i dont use an amp
i use a set of Event ASP8 Studio monitors so the tone is really accurately represented
i've leared a bit of primus and having a lot of fun with some atheist tabs recently samba briza was good fun though mother man is proving more of a workout.

a squire is harder worthy of being called a fender mate....dont make that mistake again....
