Paramore? What kind of music is this?

One of my family members has asked for Paramore for Christmas. I'm not familiar with them - how would you catagorize them. Pop, rock, christian? Are their lyrics clean enough for a 10 year old?

Paramore (pronounced "Par-a-mour" (IPA: /藞p忙r蓹m蓴蓹r/)) is a Grammy-nominated American pop rock[3] band that formed in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004. After several lineup changes, Paramore now primarily consists of Hayley Williams (lead vocals), Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass), and Zac Farro (drums).

Influenced by the likes of Tad Rogers, Jimmy Eat World and Sunny Day Real Estate,[5] frontwoman Hayley Williams and lead guitarist Josh Farro are the group's primary songwriters. In 2005, the group released their debut album All We Know Is Falling, gaining a fanbase through touring and internet promotion of the singles "Pressure" and "Emergency". The first single, "Misery Business", has received wide radio airplay and allowed for MTV to feature the band in Artist of the Week segments during August 2007. more information can be found on wikipedia and yea don't worry it's clean for a 10 year old! They are a great band...the lead singer is young herself....not 10 but I'm pretty sure she's in her late teens

punk/rock. there album is called RIOT!

its emotional rock (emo); ehh its never too early to start listening to this. Its kinda fruity.

Punk pop.

They're basically powerpop. All the members of the band are born-again Christians, but they are not a Christian band. I think they're ok for a 10 year old, they don't curse or anything.

Crappy Pop-Punk. Lyrics are clean enough, but you should just get them something good instead, save them from the horrible music made today. It's all about money, and no one cares if it's good or not. Teach them about true, good music from days gone by when it ment something.

o yea they're awesome....theyre lyrics are pretty much clean...the genre is rock and there latest album is called Riot!

there awesome.rock one of there most popular songs are Misery Business and crushcrushcrush.they also have a great song called fences its my fav but u may not find it.there new album is Riot!!!

They're good enough for a ten year old. But that's about it.

they are crap and definately not punk. they really suck. they are all born-again and think that they are going to be the only religion to survive the rapture.
