I need some other band suggestions. (folk metal, extreme)...?

OK i like age of silence, borknagar, finntroll, ensiferum etc. melodic type stuff. I need some more bands like them. I probably have found them all but just wondering if theres some rare band i have not heard of.

Yeah moonsorrow, you said finttroll already...check out Wolves in the Throne Room! Especially if you like black metal, and I know you do.

I prefer their second album myself, it's called Two Hunters.

Oh and check out the band Swallow the Sun.

Try checking out my favorite folk metal band- Cruachan. Irish folk mixed with metal and with a female singer. They are awesome. The Middle Kingdom and The Morrigan's Call are great albums.

Other good folk metal bands are Tyr, Eluveitie, Turisas, Adorned Brood, Einherjer, Primordial, Enslaved, Falkenbach, Korpiklaani, Mithotyn, Rivendell, Skyclad, Waylander, Wulfgar, The Meads of Asphodel, Moonsorrow, Slartibartfass, Ancient Rites, Hrossharsgrani, Poropetra, and Thy Worshipper. Bathory also has some folk metal material.

But I seriously whole-heartedly recommend Cruachan and possibly the greatest folk metal band of all time- Windir.

I like Elvenking and some of the celtic songs that Rhapsody of Fire and Blind Guardian do..

Eluveitie is pretty good.. Probabley my favorite folk metal band..
