What's your favorite Nine Inch Nails (NIN) album? Why?

P.S: I hate that I had to categorize this question as "Rock and POP", WTF?

I would have to say either The Fragile, a 2 disc set, or the acoustic album half of (and all that could have been). I think the Fragile shows a darker side in the lyrics. And All that... has one live CD, and then an acoustic CD; the acoustic CD really shows Trent's musical abilities, as well as his lyrical abilities.

I like all their albums but my favorites would be "The Downward Spiral" and "Broken" EP because every song is a classic in my opinion.

The Downward Spiral.

I'm just a casual fan, but I remember thinking this album was pretty good.

I'd go with The Fragile. I know it was viewed as something of an experimental failure by the hardcore, but I always thought it a beautiful attempt.

Pretty Hate Machine.

I just love all the songs on it. Sorry I couldn't give a better answer.

I'd have to go with pretty hate machine followed closely by Broken. I just think Pretty Hate Machine was just the most interesting, and incredibly groundbreaking.

Pretty Hate Machine-listening to it brings back so many fun memories

I can never choose when it comes down to Pretty Hate Machine, The Downward Spiral, The Fragile, or Broken (EP). All 4 of those are excellent. I agree with remymort... it seemed like when Trent released The Fragile most NIN fans weren't crazy about it and thought Trent had lost his mind (I've always loved it myself). Now on the other hand I can easily say that Year Zero is my LEAST favorite album.
