What's your opinion on George Thorogood and the Destroyers?

You don't hear much about them any more. What's your favorite song?

Good, gutsy, bluesy rock. But..kinda samey after a few songs.

But the lyrics to "1 Bourbon, 1 Scotch....." are funny.

Btw, Little River Band had a bunch of good little harmless tunes. :) I love "Lady" lol

"I drink alone" and "Bad to the bone!"

I love them to death..I swear I hear their songs everyday on classic rock station!

they're b-b-b-b-bad to the b-b-b-b-b-bone !!!!

Good luck!

Bad to the bone.

Good bar band. I like "Who Do You Love" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer"

Ill be your good thing and Nadine

I don't usually turn their songs off when they are on the radio, but I wouldn't buy an album from them.

They were "one hit wonders" and it was a copycat song. They hit #63 in 1985 with a song that had been made famous 17 years before: "Willie And The Hand Jive" which was done far better by Johnny Otis. This was the only hit they had in the top 100.

Bad to the Bone was their famous hit

Cut your hair was a popular but not a hit

Fight song was popular but again not a hit

So they are technically a one hit wonder, even though it maybe the theme song for every bad *** fighter in the world but still one hit wonder!!!

I love George, he is a good slide guitarist, my favorite songs are "Who Do You Love", and "Bad to the Bone"

Honestly...I hate them...I guess they were okay at the moment...but then too much radio play and I can honestly say....UGH!

A good funtime rock band.
My fave is "Baaad to the bbone".

Great band, great slide blues guitar, great stage show. Have drank one bourbon, one scotch and one beer to each verse of the namesake song, and got very drunk....hehehe. Fav. song....Born To Be Bad. Lived it..loved it along with One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.

One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer is my fave tune by them!!

I saw them open for ZZ Top several years ago & man was it a good concert! I noticed tho that his voice is a bit higher in real life than it is on record.

I too wish he & the band would come out with new material & then hit the road with it. The Delaware Destroyers are after all the hardest working band in rock & roll having earned that distinction many many years ago by playing 365 concerts in 365 different cities. That's one concert a nite for an entire year.

Can't stand him.....all of his songs sound the same.
