Have you ever hated a band and then figured out you liked one of their songs?

The shamefulest of the shameful.
I hate and I repeat HATE Bon Jovi. Last summer while riding in the car with my friend, I discovered that I liked Livin' On A Prayer. Lo and behold, it was by Jon Bon Jovi.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Doesn't it just make you feel like a total hypocrite?

Oh yea, it's happened several times, the only one I can actually recall is I liked Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl? but in my defense it sounds very much like Golden Earring, cept not as good.....

ughhh yea. i realllllly hate r&b rap, hiphop whatever those "music genres" are. and my friend was showing me some songs and for some stupid reason i liked With You by Chris Brown and that song Love Like This with natasha beddingfeld or whatever!!! EWWWW!!!

hahaha linkin park. i HATE them!!!! and don't know what it is about their music but somethin bugs me. but then i heard the song Shadow of the Day. i was like oh crap.

I didn't really like the Little River Band all that much then I heard this catchy song...Help is on its way...and it was the Little River Band..now I love them.

not so much a band but I'll be honest when I first heard gimme more i was like woah this is catchy and then I realized it was britney spears and then it was gross

I dread the day I hear a catchy song I don't know & then the dj says it was FOB or MCR.....hasn't happened though.

The closest that ever happened to me was right here on YA, actually when I was asking for a band/song I didn't know the name of & it turned out to be Creed. I never *hated* em, but I knew lotsa people did & I was surprised it was them.

I never hated KISS, but I never liked them and have always thought that they are extremely overrated. However, I have a friend who is a major KISS fan and he forces me to listen to at least one song every day. Through this, I've discovered I like Hard Luck Woman, I Love It Loud and Hotter than Hell. Yep...

I don't like anything Prince, probably the only music I truely can not get into, no matter how much I drink....but I heard When Doves Cry and said "hey that"s not too bad, my bud said it was Prince. My reply ...NOOOOOO!!!

i damn hate THE CLICK FIVE...but when airplay plays the song "EMPTY"...i fell in love with the song(the words are nice)...but still i HATE click five(they are total lame as a band)...

lol-I've been that way with "country", I used to hate it, but there's songs I do like (the older/mellow ones)-I've always loved the Eagles, & alot of their music has some country sound to it.-maybe I was too embarrassed to admit it to the crowd of friends I had back then?

No not really...I saw a picture of Van Halen..and thought..ahh more poodle-cuts..then I was out driving and heard 'Panama'.. blasted it up and really dug it..Great driving music and freaky-dance.Good little single.
