Hetfield. Without a doubt.

His voice is a weapon. It's an incredibly powerful force when he harnesses it properly. There is just no-one else in his league.

Robb Flynn from Machine Head or Megadeth's Dave Mustaine would be next, followed by Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden. There's dozens more brilliant metal vocalists but Metallica's James Hetfield takes the cake.

Ozzy is definately at the top, along side his right hand man Zakk Wylde (black label society) but my favorite HEAVY singers are Phil Anselmo (pantera) and Pat Lachmond (Damageplan)

i have to agree with the one who said Sully Erna...he is without a doubt a very talented vocalist who knows how to make fu cking awesome music......i would also saw howard jones from killswitch engage...he is pretty sick, too....
