What good Christmas songs have been covered by rock bands?

Well indie-rock-metal bands

Just been listening to Coldplay-2000 miles

and was remembering that horrible one by my chemical romance, and thought it would be great to do a really cool sounding christmassy album! lol

so any suggestions?

Well...before I answer the question directly, I would tell you to check out the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. All but one of their CDs is Christmas related and they feature most of what used to be Savatage, Alex Skolnik from Testament and John Petrilli who was in Megadeth at one time among others.

As for some others, their is a CD of some 80's/90's bands put out that I saw in the store the other day, It is called Monster Ballads Christmas...here is the track listing:
01. I'll Be Home For Christmas - TWISTED SISTER
02. Christmas Love - BILLY IDOL
03. Blue Christmas - TOM KEIFER of CINDERELLA
04. White Christmas - QUEENSR鸥CHE
05. Happy Christmas (War Is Over) - WINGER
06. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - JANI LANE
07. Jingle Bell Rock - NELSON
08. Winter Wonderland - STRYPER
09. Silent Night - FASTER PUSSYCAT
10. Run Rudolph Run - L.A. GUNS
11. Naughty Naughty Xmas - DANGER DANGER
12. Happy Holiday - ENUFF Z'NUFF
13. Jingle Bells - SKID ROW
14. 12 Days Of Christmas - DOKKEN
15. Rockin' Round The Christmas Tree - FIREHOUSE

Looks pretty cool to me (or course I am 32)

Thats what I can think of off of the top of my head...

Christmas(Baby please come home) by Bon Jovi. Not indie but good.

The Darkness' 'Christmas Time (Don't let the bells end)' is pretty good. Very underrated.

NME and stereophonics done awesome covers on radio ones live lounge this week check them out on radio ones website

A really good guitarist named 'Gary Hoey' put out a couple of Christmas albums...
My personal Fave is 'Ho, Ho, Hoey: The Collection'
It rocks pretty hard...
You could also check out 'Trans Siberian Orchestra'...
Bobby

"Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses has just been covered by The Donnas.

Arcade Fire has "A Very Arcade Christmas" but I'm not sure it's really them. I listened to it and it's a little goofy.

Blues Traveler - Christmas
Jeff Beck - Amazing Grace
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer - Kenny Wayne Shepherd
