Is anyone else in their 30s and still listen to fun indie rock and attend concerts?
I am 33 and have a huge "teen" crush on Mike Hindirt of the Bravery and just got tix to see them in Seattle, but I think that I will probably be the oldest person there (unless there are some parents w/their kids).
Am I alone on this, or do others still want to enjoy live music from super fund alt/indie bands? I'm only 18 but I used to go to a TON of concerts and I see older people there all the time! Not that you're OLD but the general crowd is 14-22. I saw The Bravery on October 13, 2005 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was front row and it was just insane. I had so much fun. Be prepared to be sore the next day if it's in a club because they put on such an energetic show, you can't help but dance.
Here's a video from my YouTube channel that I took at the show - the quality is crap because I took it with my ancient camera that I had, but you should check it out:

ENJOY YOURSELF - who cares if you're the oldest person there - THEY'RE AWESOME LIVE AND YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN! Trust me. I am 30, love their music and listen to it. However, never have been big on concerts. The guys I work with are all late 20s to mid-30s and they love indy rock and go to concerts all the time. Have fun! |
