What band/singer should be in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame?

There are many who should be in there. Plus, do you think Madonna should be in the HOF? I certainly don't

What were they thinking when they chose Madonna?

I say Ian Hunter/Mott the Hoople, whose influence went farther than their sales or popularity.

And Captain Beefheart. Not that he'd care.

Others I don't know. Maybe The Monkees, Bob Dylan, Led Zepplin (I don't know if their music is considered "rock" though.)

Beatles obviously! Top of the list. But as for a solo artist I'd have to say John Lennon; he was such an amazing songwriter and it's so sad to think about what we have missed.

I like the early Chicago albums! They should be there! I definitely agree with you about Madonna! She shouldn't be there!

I definitely think that Johnny Winter ,, Mountain and Ten Years After should be in a rock n roll hall of fame somewhere because those guys rocked .
The fact that Madonna made this HOF is lunacy . Clearly she has no business being in it unless she buys a ticket. I mean who is next Marie Osmond ?
Marie did once claim that she was a little bit country and a little bit rock n roll -that should be enough credentials to gain her admission shouldn't it ?[ i can't believe that i remembered that dumb song ]
I think that the Rock 'n Roll HOF should call up their local sign company and ask them to give an estimate on how much it would cost to change their sign to the" The Rock 'N Roll And Every Other Music Genre That Has Ever Been Covered By Rolling Stone Magazine Hall of Fame "
At least that way they would be honest about who they really are instead of bs-ing us .
