Is guitar hero 3 any good?

ok so im a teenage girl and i thougt guitar hero was kina stupid (no offense) but some kid in my class brought it into class and it looked kinda cool should i ask for it for christmas, is it any good? and is guitar hero 80's rock any better??? thnx!!!!

My son played the 80s version at his friends and LOVED it!! We got him one for Christmas, but not the 80s version, we got the legends one. Im not usually a gamer, but I cant wait to play it lol

Guitar hero 3 is pretty darn swell

Guitar Hero 3 has definately given me hours of pleasurable fun. The 80's one...not so much!

For a game......i guess it's ok. For what you're going to pay for it though , i'd rather see you trek down to the pawnshop and buy a used REAL guitar, and start a journey that you will never get tired of, ...and then become a real guitar hero! LOL!

Well yeah, its O.K. I play the guitar for real and it's way more fun. Me, I think playing guitar hero 3 is like playing the old school game Space Invaders. As the dots come down you hit them, if you think about it in those terms it's not a really hard game to play.
