How can i self teach myself guitar?

I had a guitar teacher that came to my house but he just quit coming after about 2 weeks (i guess thats what you get when your sister hires her friend to teach you). i have a guitar book but its hard to understand. about the only thing i know how to do is read tabs...So how can i teach myself how to play guitar???

i dont have teacher to teach me to play..
but..
i working and practice every day all night to master the guitar...
i use to watch some dude playing in street,pro guitarist,even bad players.
its take one year of my life to improve my guitar playing..

I taught myself to play guitar a while ago. First of all.....just stick to the tabs in the beginning. They're easier and you'll sound just as good as if you were actually reading the music. There are many tutorials on youtube, I would list some but I'm not sure what type of music you want to play. Just remember that most famous guitarist never got a single lesson and they're some of the best =]

If You took music classes in school you could. I taught myself to play guitar and I'm great at it.

There are tons of sites online. Try some of them. But you'll find it a lot easier to learn from an actual teacher.
