A band with a really good female vocalist is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They are different than Evanesence, but they have a really great sound.

Quite possibly the band WITHIN TEMPTATION.

how bout flyleaf, besides what everyone else mentioned that is really the only other one I can think of.

just look them all up on youtube or music.aol.com to find which you're looking for....and even if they aren't what you're looking for you might end up liking them. I personally havn't really listened to lacuna coil but I know flyleaf rocks and the song angels by within temptation is amazing
