My favorite way of finding new bands is to find out who's in the groups I like, then looking for them listed in other groups
(ex: Ronnie James Dio was in Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and Dio; Michael Schenker was in the Scopions and MSG, and so on).

Finally - I haved liked ALMOST everything I've bought that was produced by MetalBlade Records, check the production companies on the cds of groups you like - if you see a certain company over and over again, then you'll probably like other groups that company produces.
