Mark Knopfler is the most obvious one - the two of them cut a record together. But, I think George Harrison had a debt to country pickers like Atkins. Having said that, I think George's main role model was Carl Perkins, yet another guy out of a country-influenced approach.

Jerry garica gave me the more jammy feeling i get when i play. David Gilmor where i fell if found strong riffs that blow peoples minds. Jimmy page influenced me by play fast catchy tunes.
