Opera-Death/Love depressing stuff Well I know Hip-Hop/Rap talks about Get Laid, Discriminating Women and Drugs.
Rock can be about anything from partying, girls, love, sex, friends, fakes, depression to a song about a cup of coffee.(i'm serious lol) try ask.com...yet let me see
rock- talks about the present society...like the song can be about life in school or about how u broke up with a gf or bf.
hip hop/rap- expressing that ppl are shameless, women are stupid, drug dealers r great.
techno- mixing of variety of music to make a song industrial.
opera- using voice to create art in music which makes ppl fall asleep! Rap- Chicks, booze, drugs.
Rock- Chicks, booze ,drugs and everything else.
Techno- Same, just set to an annoyingly fast paced beat.
Opera- Love, death, and I'm not sure since it's mostly in foreign languages.

It just depends what the artist writes about... They've all got LOVE in common!

Rock=happy/sad love
hip hop = happy love
rap = sex instead of love
techno = love of self & music
opera = love of the sound of the soul wheeping and/or screaming
country= real basic love
gospel = love for God
