What happened to MTV music videos? |
first we had ROCK then rap now ? too many inmature kids playing in reality shows that don't know quat. I WANT THE ROCK VIDEO'S BACK WHERE THEY BELONG ON MTV MUSIC VIDEO'S THAT'S WHAT MADE MTV . not a bunch of pressy a-s kids that are on their today, Their not worth watching Simple. The american teenage population has become increasingly undisciplined and part of the american population of idiots who buy into fads and politics that are BS. People are basically brainwashed and unable to fathom actual music. Rap is cheap and easy to make, the rich *** record companies are cashing in. Back in the 60s, the beatles made everybody go out and buy a guitar, and people loved it and people worked and learned. Now, kids are just buying useless clothes that do not differentiate them from anyone and buying expensive and utterly pointless possesions. Sad part is, the american teenagers are too far in. We cant really do much for this generation unless we revolt against the monstrosity of MTV. idk, but they suck I agree, but unfortunately MTV (Music Television) hasn't played music videos for about 15 years and I don't think they will be bringing them back anytime soon. Thank goodness for the web. they still have rock videos on, just not as much. I remember watching all the hair band videos. I used to watch Headbangers Ball all the time. I don't even watch MTV anymore. I started to watch FUSE....Uranium. yea think about that all the time also... at least theres mtv hits and mtv jams which dont show any stupid reality shows.. They are still out there! They aren't on the television really because TRL's top 10 is determined by viewers vote. The viewers are demanding rap right now, probably because it's all teenagers. But if you go on MTV.com they have a separate section for Rock's top 10. Sad that MTV is no longer about music. Blame Aerosmith. In 1984 their record sales were at an all time low. Out of desparation, they created a rap-rock fusion with Run DMC when they co-created a remake of "Walk this Way". MTV only plays music at 5am but who is gonna get up that early for videos? There simply wasn't enough time to play actual music videos when you need every last minute to cram in as much retarded reality programming as possible. I second that emotion! I was watching MTV when the very first video came on. |
