Ways to improve my voice to sing??

people say i can really sing, but i need practice how can i do that?

There are many good resources for improving your singing voice in the links I have provided below, also, review this list of books and DVDs and I'm sure you'll find something you can use.

Set Your Voice Free: How To Get The Singing Or Speaking Voice You Want, by Roger Love and Donna Frazier

The Rock-N-Roll Singer's Survival Manual, by Mark Baxter

Adventures in Singing, by Clifton Ware

The Zen of Screaming, by Melissa Cross (DVD)

Singing for Dummies by Pamelia S. Phillips

Voice Lessons To Go Volume 1: Vocalize and Breath by Ariella Vaccarino

Complete Handbook of Voice Training by Richard Alderson

Best wishes!

take lessons
personally i hate teachers but they are good when it comes to helping you improve

get a piano learn some scales and practice scales and techniques everyday don't scream too much or whisper since it hurts the voice and practice articulation

Eat leek to lower your voice. Practise 'do rey me' and take a class.

Well, my dad is a singer and he does voice excercises. If you want to do singing, then do your excercises, such as the scale, where you start of high and then end it low and also make one of your own up, be creative. Also, note your favourite songs and try doing them and maybe get someone who can play a guitar to help you.

Singing lessons help too. I have them and my dad teaches me and sometimes teaches me on the acoustic guitar.

Dad's site - http://www.pheromania.co.uk
Dad's old band - http://www.myspace.com/thejonahfish

Keep on doing excercises and do a Google for more information. I wish you lots of luck. If singing is something you want to do, try getting gigs, like my dad does. :)

On the Pheromania home - a song should play. My dad had a record deal - but the band didn't want to take the risk. The same person that found Phil Collins, noticed my dad's potential. Don't give up on your dreams! My dad now does gigs and is booked up this year and the next. I hope you do well.

mabe you can ask a singing teacher for a couple pionters
i would suggest that mabe you could have 2-3 singing lessons, even if you r a great singer there is always room 4 improvement. taking lessons doesnt mean that ur bad it means that u want to get better

ok well try warming up by doing the scale, u know do re me fa so la te do um drink alot of water before you sing no candy sugar ext. um ok thats about all i know so yea i hope i helped

do some warmups before singing to warm up your voice, do some lip trills around your range, some do re mi's, then when your singing learn to drop your jaw, open up the space in your throat so it's not tight, and sing...is your voice better yet? if so, then there ya go, if not, idk

record yourself and critique. you are your best teacher, but you have to to do the work. read about the basics in breathing techniques. you need a microphone condenser is best but dynamic will do. A computer that can receive input for the audio interface( sound card) and some speakers, some audio recording software and maybe a plugin for your vocal effects these are free. good luck

Make sure your posture is correct. Believe it or not, it can help, ALOT. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart with one foot just slightly in front of the other. Keep your shoulders square and pretend that someone is pulling a string up that is attached to your head. Keep your arms down at your sides, and make sure your hips aren't sticking out. Also, shaping your vowels helps you improve your tone and your high notes. It helps you not to go flat or sharp. Make sure your mouth is shaped like an 'O' when you're singing a word with an O in it. etc. When you're singing E's though, make sure your mouth isn't too spread, and that you're singing fuller. Lastly, to make your voice have a fuller, richer tone, pretend there is a light bulb in your mouth (it's a silly analogy, i know!) with the big part of the bulb in the back. It helps keep your sound more forward and a nicer tone. Hope I helped!
