What is a good song for a Soprano to sing for an acapella group audition?

What is a good song for a Soprano to sing for an acapella group audition? I have one week to learn a song; my chorus teacher is a wonderful planner like that. :) Only 12 people will make it into the group, and many people are auditioning. Any point in the right direction will be appreciated. I'm very experience with auditions, but this is my first for an acapella group. :)

Well there is a song called The Melody Within from the movie Rigoletto. Many people use this in auditions. Or maybe Think of Me from Phantom of the Opera. I am sure that one of these songs will win your teacher over.

does it have to be classical pieces or any type of genre?

There is this beautiful Italian aria called "Nel cor pui non mi sento." I used to it to audition for all-state. Why not give that a try?

Do whatever style your group is planning on doing. If it's a contemporary group, don't do something classical. Same thing for the other way around. Go for something that tests your range a fair bit, but not into the notes where you don't sound good. Seeing as I don't know what type of music the group plans on performing, I really can't give you a good recommendation. Hopefully my suggestions were able to narrow down the list of songs you may have had in mind!

We don't know what style we're doing yet...? I know that sounds ridiculous, but my chorus teacher is kind of... completely insane!!!!

I thought we might do contemporary... any suggestions for that?
