How do you sound to other people?

When we sing, do we sound differently to other people than when we hear ourselves? If so, do we sound better or worse? Cause when I hear myself sing I love it, but I get the feeling that I sound different to other people.

You sound different to others because the sound you hear of yourself travels through the bones in your face and head. This changes the sound characteristics so the sound you hear is different compared to how others hear you. Can't say if it's better or worse; it's just different. To hear your voice as others hear it, you need to record it and listen to it.

if you wanna know just record youself and listen....thats what they are hearing =]

this is the same problem i have

Yes, you are correct and it is not only with singing, but your voice in general sounds different to others than it does to you. This has something to do with the way the sound of your voice travels to your ears.
