Would i be able to learn how to sing...?

with lessons? i dont really know if im horrible, or just off or whatever. i know that i kinda have a nasel problem, and kinda off key, but i dont know if i actually sound that bad.
i was wondering that if i tokk lessons that maybe i could learn? i know that a lot of people say that u can't and its based on the voice your born with, but i've had people ask me if i sang becuase they like the sound of my voice when i talk. does that mean with proper training that i could maybe beable to sing? Or does that not matter at all?

uhmm i'm not really sure if im tone deaf. i'm not the best with figuring out notes and stuff, but im not sure if thats really considered tone deaf. if i were could i learn to not be...?

You have got to have some basic talent there. (meaning what you were born with) There is no magic cure for bad singers. If you do have basic talent then you will benefit from singing lessons because they will teach you proper techniques.

Think of it this way, the bad American Idol singers will never be able to sing no matter how hard you try.

I've been told that if you can talk then you can sing. I believe it!

Take lessons for awhile and see if you like them....the very worst case scenario is that you will have gained a little music appreciation.

all depends on two things ( i am a prof singer in opera and jazz)
* are you tone deaf - yes it is an actual syndrom
*the teacher needs to be patient and excellent
in my experience if you can hum in tune slightly you can be taught - you need to listen to the notes before you sing it and be confident with the note when sung
practice heaps and learn to use your vocal chords as an instrument

Try out a 2 year college program in music they have voice lessons and you could also learn basic music education.

I am a professional guitar singer. I once felt just like you. I wanted to sing but wasn't sure if I could. The first thing you need to have is the desire to sing--and I can see that you already have that, so you are one step ahead already. Sing can be based on the voice you are born with--and you may have that voice. If you play an instrument, just sing with your soul. Hear your self as others would hear you. I have never taken voice lessons, but simply sing from my heart. It is my way of giving. Lessons can not hurt, but do not get caught up in lessons for long periods of time. Teachers want nothing more than to take your money. After all, if you became successful, you wouldn't need them any longer would you. Almost any one can sing well, it they want to sing well, and study a little and maybe take a few lessons--but from there on--it's time to fly......Good luck. You will do well I can tell.

yes, of course you will be able to. No one was born a genious but after noticing that they have got certain talents they did their best to make them useful. Hardwork brings success. Therefore,go on with singing lessons, let the desire to sing be great in your heart so that you find the need to learn more. Do lots of singing exercises.Listen to musicians and try to sing how they do.Do this daily with all your heart. This will make you learn some tips. I can assure you that you will become a great singer.

forget all the answers and try this,
buy a guitar tuner, and a guitar, ( or only the guitar tuner) play the guitar in the sixth chord, and tuner it until the lights goes green, then keep your voice in one note near the tuner, if the guitar tuner lights green
