I'm a boy who's voice is changing, and i can no longer hit high notes i could. will i be able to again? |
I was able to sing as clear and high as craig owens of chiodos. I'm really disturbed about this because singing is a passion of mine. will i ever be able to sing like i could again? No. You'll gain lower range at the expense of upper. Short of hormonal therapy or castration, this is inevitable. yES YOU WELL YOU LITTLE WEBKINZ RABBIT HIP HIP HOP I doubt it. just train yourself it will take some itme but yes you can get your self to sing them high notes again maybe. it could just be the actually changing process or it could have changed so that you won't be able to again yes. just do some vocal warmups, drink warm water to clear your throat and you should be able to hit those notes in no time. My brother was a chorister and has sung to the queen and on TV... when he was 14 his voice broke (he's 15 now) but its still really nice quality just deeper... he can hit the high notes in falsetto ;) but it doesn't matter if you're not a soprano any more, just change parts. Make sure you have a good teacher and don't strain your voice too much not exactly like you could before the change, but you can train your voice to hit those notes again, using your "head voice" Probably not . My sons all went through that and they never had the same singing voice again . If you really want to be able to retain your singing voice and hit the high notes maybe get a voice coach its called puberty, kid. this is the time when your voice becomes MANLY. well some men can reach high notes so maybe you need to practice with your NEW VOICE, it might take more effort. but your voice definitely won't be the same as before. When I was much younger I could sing decently. After "the change" my singing was bad but the tradeoff was pretty good. With lots and lots of voice practice you can strengthen your vocal chords and be able to hit high notes. i have known many men with relatively normal "manly" voices who can sing alto to soprano. I worked with the singing group Chanticleer and they are a good example of adult men who most of them can sing high notes, up to soprano. take a lot of lessons from a vocal coach and slowly work your way up. it is possible. don't give up. Many people who never sang before end up taking singing as a profession for many reasons. Often they require professional singing lessons. as much as 95% of those can sing about one octave higher than they were able to before taking the lessons. maybe Absolutely! It helps a lot that you began singing at an earlier age, but keep practicing! Those notes may feel harder to hit, but just counter that difficulty with more effort! I am a singer, and my voice has fully changed. When i was younger, i wanted to sing bass, so i never practiced any high notes. Currently, however, i have a 2.4 octave ranging from a low A to a high C (sometimes even an E during warm ups). It can be done, though it will take a lot of vocal training to hold and maintain good control of your range. Keep up the good work! and i hope to hear an album with your voice on it in the future! |
