I was wondering if anyone familiar with both opera singers and the current singer in the band Helloween (Andi Deris) could recommend any opera singers with a similar range and style? In particular a high range; perhaps female opera singers are a good bet? Thank you I have you tried the band Therion they have quite a range of opera style singing as well as standard singing.
You could look at the whole genre of Power metal as many bands within the genre incorporate such styles. My brother-in-law played bass for Operatika, and I saw them open for Helloween in NJ a couple of times. Pretty good stuff, even though it's not may fav style.
