Do singers go into character when they sing on stage? |
Or are they just themselves? Absolutely, especially if the singer is the front person in a band or something. Since we communicate vocally, we take a lot of meaning from what someone鈥檚 voice sounds like 鈥?if they are angry, happy, unsure, sad, mournful, etc. To sing a song is to recreate the mood that the song requires, every time it is sung. That means the singer has to change the character of his or her voice to match the mood of the song. It鈥檚 almost like acting. You have to create the character inside yourself, then deliver it on stage. no , in films the singers does'nt in the character` ,they sing at backside. now a days the singers goes in the character like himesh reshmiya I don't know if all of them do, but a good majority do. Some of them do. its different for every singer realy they all have their own style! really i think that most singers do and some don't. like korn, they are always in character and deathlok does not ever go into it. it depends on the situation and the genre. We opera singers have to be in character when we go on stage, that's what the show is about, isn't it? But it also depends on the person's acting abilities. Just as some stage and screen actors never get deeper than themselves, some singers never take the plunge into the sometimes very gory world of becoming a character. ( the gory part has to do with identifying yourself so strongly with a role that you are caught in it forever. Don't laugh! Lots of actors and singers undergo therapy for this professional risk, just to find themselves again) some do some dont |
