Best way to learn to sing? |
I am 23 and have been in athletics year-round until now, but i'd really like to learn to sing, and well enough to sing with the worship band at church... what's the best way for a beginner to pick it up?? i've heard that those karaoke playstation games can be good for practice? Also, should i pick up some books on theory, etc?? Definitely take voice lessons. If you try to learn on your own, you risk the chance of learning improperly and in the end can ruin your voice. There's alot more to singing than most people think. Proper breathing, posture etc, etc. A voice coach would help you greatly! Even if you only went once a month, he/she could give you things to work on til your next lesson. and in the mean time, practice practice practice!! But be careful not to over-do it. Drink LOTS and LOTS of water. It is the best thing to keep your vocal cords hydrated. Stay away from caffeine and dairy products before singing as well. Caffeine dries out the vocal cords and dairy products just coat the throat and can give you a "garbled" sound, not to mention it feels weird. Plenty of rest is also important. Anyhow, a vocal coach can tell you all this and plenty more. Hope this helps! sing a lot and ask opinions Singing coach. It's too late to learn now, most people learn to sing when they are 2 years old. woman its called singing lessons !!! if u r a woman sing a lot and ask opinions. take a class and sing alot of different songs to stretch your vocal chords. I think singing is something that is supposed to be a talent you are born with. I've been good at singing since I was 2 lol and I didn't learn how to sing. I was just able to do it. get willam hong to teach you lol permanently turn on your sterio and just sing as best you can to EVERY song you know. gradually youll get better. breath from the low stomach easily..allow the breath to move freely thru the throat enjoy the sound practice practice practice and excersize ur voice box lalalalala aeiou aaaaaa bbb cccccc dddddd ect better bitter butter bed bid bud detter ditter dutter dead did dud ect ect practice makes perfect! yes the kareoke games are a GREAT way to practice. also sing songs that u know..for instance when ur cooking, showering, or even running..lol start to sing and start with a warm up like do re mi fa sol fa mi re do mi sol do sol do say that until your voice is loose then just sing well you could go to dance lesons or you could sing in the shower or get like some people in your family or friends to help you, but only if they can sing because then you would probably sing worse then you did before. thats jst my thoughts i hope you like them. lol tryin 2 sing and karoke maybe but idk I'd take voice lessons. Community colleges, recreational centers and more have wonderful oportunities for the young adult aquiring to sing and you should always drink water before you sing, it helps your throat become moist. Hiring a voice coach can help you, she will be able to help you more personally then a lessons teacher. Then look for opportunities where you can actually sing... Musicals, etc. Well, the absolute surefire best way would be to go to a vocal teacher. yeah thats real good u could also try singing to ur fvorite like a thousand times also u can try makin ur voice stronger by singing regular do re mi fa so le di high to low and see if can sing higher and higher each time u try This is a good question! "Best way to learn to sing?". I think you really do have to be born with it. Having said that, there are singing coaches that are reputed to get just about anyone to sing. What they mean by 'sing', I'm not quite sure! All of us have to sing at some point, even if it's just a simple 'Happy Birthday'. use these simple tips and techniques to improve your voice and your confidence. take some vocal classes yeah may strain your voice and take some time but practice makes perfect i can ing want me to coach you? voice coach |
