i really want the part of Gabriella or Sharpay in our musical "High School Musical" this year. today is Nov. 28 and auditions start Dec. 12. the song we have to sing is "When There was Me and You".
The very beginning it goes, "it's FUNNY when YOU find yourself...... the OUTSIDE. i'm STANDING here BUT all i want...." (the caps. are the tough notes) i can hit them but barely.
i need help to lower my voice so i can hit them comfortably. Thanks hi! i was practicing the same song about a year ago, and i was where you were. i was going to my vocal coach once a week working on those low notes. the key is to practice, practice, practice! and dropping your chin helps you get the sound out. if you can afford it, try and go to a professional, or ask someone who can hit those notes to help you out. dont get discouraged. if you practice, it will come to you. a year ago, i could barely hit those notes, and in a few weeks i was able to hit them better, and now i can hit a C. practice makes perfect! good luck! just keep pratcing your scales. day by day go a little bit at a time tho so you don't strain your voice practice saying this:
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... time a pitch higher! |
