Karaoke Clubs with private party rooms??

I am throwing a hen party for a friend who has asked for a karaoke night. Some of the guests are pretty shy (even after a few bevvies) and I'm not sure if they'd want to belt out a tune in front of a load of strangers. I'm sure I heard somewhere about places you could go to where you can hire out rooms with karaoke equipment for a small party (of say 10 girls) and then pay extra for drinks etc.
Am I going mad or does anyone know where this?

There are a couple of places in London that do this....one is called Box Karaoke and there is another called Lucky Voice. You pay a fee per person I think plus drinks on top (which tend to be quite expensive). There are also a few Chinese restaurants that have karaoke rooms in them as well, I went to one called Shanghai in Dalston Kingsland, although that was a little larger, for around 20-30 people.

there are places like that and i evan heard that some of the rooms have themes like buisness room rockstar room underwater room

Why don't you just get a karaoke machine and do it in the privacy of your own home!
