I'll have to agree with the others, it's probably a tune by the 'Trans Siberian Orchestra'.
Check out their tune, "Christmas Eve/Serejevo".

I do not know the exact song, but the only band I can think of that you would be talking about is Trans-Siberian Orchestra because they play rock versions of Christmas songs. Their most popular song is Christmas Eve in Sarajavo...so is this the one you are talking about?
