just drink water an talk to a singn coach and be the best u can

Randy & Paula from American Idol have a singing lessons video that might help you out. I watched a little bit and it seemed good.

I had the same problem, but technically you don't need singing lessons or anything. I took a vocal music course in this year for school and I have gotten much better. Another thing you can do is turn on your stereo and sing your heart out, try and match your voice with the singer's. The last thing you need is confidence. Good luck!

as much as im sure you dont want me to say it...

voice lessons are a huge help.

Ive always been good, but lessons turned me into an all-state vocalist that i am today. vocal training over the internet is totally overrated. In the world of music, being anti-social and avoiding other people is impossible, so if you really want this, dealing with other people is a hurdle you will have to get over.

First of all, you probably don't have the worst voice in history. ANY voice can improve with practice and training. If professional training isn't an option for you right now, there are other options (esp. practice) that WILL help you improve. Know that getting better takes time - so if you're looking for instant impovement, it's not gonna happen. But if you're willing to put in, say, 1/2 an hour a day then you should see definite improvement in a couple of months and considerable improvement in a year. (If you don't do it, well, in a year you'll be a year older and still not be singing as you'd like).

Find your normal vocal range. This is usually in your normal speaking range. If you want to perform - for your parents, for karaoke, talent show, whatever - pick a couple of songs that are in your range (you can sing comfortably without straining or stretching your voice).

Each day after you do your warm-ups and stretches (see below in PERFORMANCE TIPS), you'll practice these - no more than 3-5 songs or repetitions at first, add 1/week till you're up to 8-10 songs or repetitions. You're gradually strengthening your voice and increasing you repertoire. If you have a karaoke machine, these are good to sing along with and in fact, many voice teachers use these in classes.

Once you get comfortable and confident with a few songs, you should seek out some places to practice singing in public - like karaoke nights at restaurants, bowling alleys, etc. This serves several purposes - helps you see and hear others perform in public so you can know some definite DO's and DON'T's; you get to practice singing and being comfortable performing around other people in a non-threatening and non-judgmental environment; you'll become known as a singer and will gain amazing confidence; you'll be preparing for singing at other events that may have seemed more challenging earlier - like talent shows, school shows-plays-musicals - will be a breeze for you.

PERFORMANCE TIPS and TIPS FOR HITTING HIGH NOTES
Stay away from songs with very high or sustained notes if you haven't sung a lot and toned your voice. Chances are your voice may quit before you do esp. if you're the least bit nervous. And an excellent song in a range that works for your voice is much more impressive and less painful to watch than something that is too ambitious. The audience will feel your pain.

If high notes are your only problem, strengthen your diaphragm by lying down and putting a book on your stomach. Every day for a couple of weeks for several minutes, practice pushing the book up rapidly as you take in a deep breath. Then when you sing, take in a deep breath on the passage building up to the high note and push out more air on the note. Not enough air is the usual problem for voice breaking on these.

Leading up to the performance, practice every day. If you don't do scales to warm-up, at least sing a couple of songs that are easy for you (in your range) before you do a couple that stretch your range a little, and then do your performance piece at least 3 times. Practicing daily will not only strengthen your voice but your confidence because you will feel totally prepared when it's time to perform.

Before you perform or even practice, do NOT have sugar, caffeine or cold drinks (go for something warm like hot water or tea instead). These will clog your throat (sugar and milk products), affect your timing (caffeine and sugar) or tighten your throat (cold drinks). Have all you want after you turn in your amazing performance!!!

These are just some suggestions. If you want to go further, it is HIGHLY recommended that you use the services of a voice or vocal coach - if only to help correct posture, breathing, and/or vocalizing problems.

Best of luck with your singing and keep checking "Singing" here on Yahoo Answers for more helpful info!!!!! =]

I think it doesn't matter your voice, but what you do with it. Try to pray to God for singing improvement. Look at Hannah Montana. she's a Christian and gives God the credit for her voice. I hope you do good!
