Is it hard for sopranos to reach low notes??? |
Is it hard for sopranos to reach low notes??? depends.. soprano the key? or the saxophone or what? if you mean singers then yes (at least for me). it also depends on how big of a range you have. to make ourself sing lower you should try to sing the low notes like a little girl (very nasley) this puts that pressure not on your thoat but aound your cheeks. it is a lot easier. you will only gain a few notes at first. It's difficult for anyone to reach low notes, really. Low and high are completely relative for everyone since everyone has a different range. There are no high notes and low notes. 'Low notes' are relative. A low note for an alto is not a low note for a lyric soprano. How low you can sing is genetically determined. It depends on the length and thickness of your vocal cords. Altos have longer cords than Sopranos so an Alto will be able to sing lower. Vocal range is determined by how well you manage air, adduct your cords, use your resonators and use only the muscles necessary. Vocal classification depends on timbre (how you sound) and how well you can sustain singing within certain ranges. An alto may be able to sing soprano high c but she wouldn't want to live up there. Some sopranos are trained to only sing in head/falsetto register so they never have learned how to use their chest registers so they have low notes that they've never explored. To be able to sing many types of music one has to learn to sing in mixed voice which is a combination of both head and chest. it depends on your range, but most of the time yes, it's hard. but we don't worry about, sopranos aren't supposed to sing the low notes anyways. we sing the high ones. |
