~mandy hello again.
VOICE LESSONS are the best thing if you are serious about singing.
three things that will make learning easier re breathing, diction, and posture
1. breathe from your gut. if your shoulders rise, you arent doing it right. to see what i mean, lie on a flat, hard surface and whath what your stomach does as you breathe. that will help maximixe air intake.
diction and pronunciation. american idol sing ing is talking while variating pitch. Good singers open their mouths on all the vowels. a speech style would say "aye luv tuh seegn"
while a good singer goes "ahey lohve too sihng" that way, "i love to sing comes out clear and warm, not nasal.
3rd, posture. stand up sraight, hands out of your pockets, and keep your head straight. alot of ameteurs crane their necks and shoulders up as if to force notes out, especially the high ones. this only constricts airflow and limits your range.
speaking of range, work on that with a proffesional. no amount of internet tutelage can be interchangable enough to fit everyone's unique voice. |
