Freddie all the way. I am huge Queen fan and the diversity in his songs and voice is one of the things that I think made Queen a great band.

This is a VERY tough one--you're asking for comparisons across F盲cher! I'm not aware of the late Mercury doing opera (an area of REALLY serious study for Turunen, a dramatic soprano). Symphonic metal as a genre did not exist during Queen's heyday; Nightwish expanded on Metallica's pioneering effort S&M (Elektra). To my knowledge, Turunen has not done glam rock (Queen's specialty).

Without directly comparable materials for both singers, unfortunately, it's hard to say.

You cannot compare oranges with apples really!!! But I go for tarja because she's Finnish like me!
