How to gently wake up your voice in the morning?? |
How to gently wake up your voice in the morning?? Start out by talking. Talk to someone, yourself, the room, whatever. Once your voice is clear and full, begin simple scales. At first, keep the scales a short range of notes close to your natural note of voice. Gently ease into more articulate scales. I would say because I sing at weddings and stuff that you should try to wake up a little earlier and do scales and then when talking flucuate your voice a bit so it has reached all the levels of notes and expand warm up exercises - scales, etc. and all sorts of vocal warm ups. look on the web for them. Drink a cup of tea... yawn. omg u look so CUTE in your pic!! your voice has been asleep and the musculature has goteen a bit flabby, just like all the rest of your body. If you stretch and bend to get your body awake, you're already starting to wake up your voice. Anything taht gets your body awake will also help your voice, but specific things like humming for a couple of minutes, or consistently practicising breathing will make the whole process faster. Then come vocal warm-ups, at least 10-15 min every day. Start slow, and in your mid range. Take an excursion into your lower register before you take one to your upper register ( that's usually the last area to warm up, so don't push or force it) Funny/silly things that get the air moving more intensely and to the purpose of singing are: "lip trills" or "blowing bubbles" ( whatever you want to call it is ok with me), and then "raspberries", which is the same thing with your tongue sticking out. You can't get these two things working unless you have good breath support. The answers that I have seen so far are very good. Almost everyone will mention some kind of stretching and warm-up excercises. These are all very good things to do. Cup of hot tea and a hot shower. Stretch and do your vocal warm-ups and even some singing, laughing and silly sounds while in there - the humidity is good for your vocal apparatus. |
