Will my voice be damaged if i continue, or how can i prevent damage?

I am 12 years old and my singing voice sounds older for my age. I sing all the time and belt alot sometimes to hit those high notes.
Should I stop doing this, because alot of times i have to do this for theater?
Also, am I too young to start voice lessons?

Please help, thanks!

I don't think that you're too young for voice lessons, many people start around 12. I don't think your voice will be damaged if you have used correct support from your diaphragm and if your sound has resonance. You can prevent damage by not shouting/screaming/yelling unnecessarily and by keeping your vocals hydrated frequently. Try not to eat too much candy or fried foods.

Continue to sing GOD gave u that gift for a reason.......drink plenty of honey, tea and lemon but whatever you do don't strain your voice and avoid anything that's going to coat your throat like chocolate, ice cream and peanut butter......No you r not to young to take voice lessons that is if your parents can afford it
